This project was brought to us with the requirements of being powered by the Drupal content management system, adhering to a very specific set of parameters.  We worked with our friends at the Aardvark Brigade and Warner Brothers Records to launch this site on a strictly maintained platform while keeping their wonderful design in-tact.

    Alternative Press

Built from the ground up with our bare hands. Paper Tiger tackled the new Alternative Press website with goal in mind: make it extremely awesome.

When it comes down to the guts of this site, it has everything: a fully customized CMS, ‘APTV’ branded video players (that totally work on the iPad), artist profiles, tons of community interaction, e-commerce development & integration, jQuery functionality, you name it. Seriously. Every little detail has been picked apart, turned upside down and then picked apart again until it worked exactly the way it should and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

    Air & Sea Battle

Air & Sea Battle, a highly regarded music & media blog, was built by Paper Tiger on the Wordpress CMS framework. The WP template itself is from-scratch custom and every detail has been tweaked, edited, or custom coded.

Once the site was launched, the staff at Paper Tiger were invited to be contributing members to the blog, primarily because of our music & media background, but also because we share the same values as the site itself.

    Children's Day NYC

Children’s Day NYC was a very exciting project for us as it took us out of our comfort zone and forced us to think like a kid again.

Developed on the powerful ExpressionEngine platform, CDNYC is fully CMS driven, mobile friendly and an event you should take your kids to if you are anywhere near the NYC area on June 26th. The Apples In Stereo are playing! It doesn’t get any better than that. I want to go just so I can hang out with Gordon from Sesame Street’s mustache.

Our mission was to re-brand them and make them look really, really good.

    Seaport Music

The Seaport Music Festival, sponsored by The NYC Seaport and the River To River Festival, is one of the most badass music events of the year. Taking place as a FREE show every weekend on the NYC South Street Seaport, the list of the performers is just outright amazing (Yacht, The Wedding Present, The Apples In Stereo, Free Energy).

We were more than happy to jump at the opportunity of giving Seaport Music & Seaport Music Records a brand new, CMS driven website that can be expanded for years to come.

Social blog and online magazine BroBible.com,  was growing.  Fast.  Looking to move out of their custom PHP based content management system, we designed a new interface for the site itself, and also mapped out the new Brobible.com in the very popular and extensible Drupal CMS.

User blogs, a music section and online store, Brobible.com has a little bit of everything.

  • Paper Brigade Website

    Paper Brigade Records
    http://www.paperbrigade.com

Since the 90s, Paper Brigade has been a tireless advocate and supporter of independent music and art. After initially getting its foothold in the indie music community in Kansas with vinyl releases by bands like The Anniversary, Reflector and Proudentall, the label began evolving and addressing the ever-shrinking gap between the art and music communities.

In 2009, Paper Brigade started back up with the goal to release music that they thought was special, made by friends and the like and in 2010 they needed a fresh new website built off of the Wordpress CMS.

Rubik is pretty much one of the most talented bands on the planet. I know, I know, that’s a very bold statement but I wouldn’t type it if I wasn’t completely convinced of it.

Rubik needed a new MySpace design to correspond with their latest release, Dada Bandits (out now on Paper Tiger AV and Fullsteam Records worldwide) and we jumped all over the opportunity.

We had the pleasure of designing all of the elements for the new E For Explosion album, Reinventing The Heartbeat. This was a high-profile release for their label, Eyeball Records, so we had our work cut out for us.

Designs and assets included: album packaging, posters, web banners, merch design, photography, MySpace customization, online marketing and more.

So you’ve had to have heard about Fall Out Boy by now. Pete Wentz? No? Really? Well if you haven’t don’t worry, you’re not old or anything.

We were approached to design a new shirt for the band that had an old “punk rock” style. Having spent my first 6 years as a designer designing for some of the toughest (and scariest) NJ punk and hardcore labels, this design process was a no brainer.

In spring of 2007, the Little Paper Planes blog was created where various artists, exhibitions and art related events are featured and discussed keeping up with the dialogue of the contemporary art world.

In 2010 Paper Tiger came on board to help redesign the LPP blog to help the company unveil their new brand as well as move their old blog over to the Wordpress CMS platform.

    The making of wearepapertiger.com

It's ten years after the Y2K bug wiped out all computerized systems, destroyed major industry, and halted any and all technological advancement. Marooned for the duration of the digital drought on a desolate island, Paper Tiger had been held captive by the ocean itself, a sea of failed social networks and poor web implementation. Cookie cutter commerce sites and B2B portals have washed up daily on the lonely shore, and waves of feline blogs and photo buckets crashed against every attempt to leave the island. Here begins the tale of Paper Tiger, as sung by the blind minstrel, Aaron.
