Built from the ground up with our bare hands.. Paper Tiger tackled the new Alternative Press website with goal in mind: make it extremely awesome.
Alternative Press is a creative, forwarding thinking company with a prime focus on innovation in their industry and a passion for delivering quality products to their wide range of readership. This passion translated well in the process of building altpress.com, and every detail was focused on, no rock was left unturned, and major focus was spent on usability and user-interaction. A massive amount of clutter was removed from the site, as compared to their last one, and much time was spent seamlessly integrating their advertising platform alongside their well produced content.
When it comes down to the guts of this site, it has everything: a fully customized CMS, ‘APTV’ branded video players (that totally work on the iPad), artist profiles, tons of community interaction, e-commerce development & integration, jQuery functionality, you name it. Seriously. Every little detail has been picked apart, turned upside down and then picked apart again until it worked exactly the way it should and we couldn’t be happier with the result.
Building this site was an amazing experience for us over at Paper Tiger, especially because it involved working with the amazing and hard working people over at AP.
